In a first phase, DORSCH CONSULT, in cooperation with the Swiss based Architect KMP, is responsible as OE/OA (Owner’s Engineer / Owner’s Architect) for the establishment of the EPC-contract, focussing on the architectural and engineering services concerning the terminal building, all other airport related buildings , the airside and landside facilities including infrastructure.
In a second phase, DORSCH CONSULT provides consultancy services as OE (off-shore) during design, construction and commissioning phase.

Description

Bangalore International Airport Ltd (BIAL) intends to arrange a long term airport development based on a comprehensive Masterplan. It is the aim of the Masterplan to establish an airport layout with the necessary flexibility built in. The general planning objectives setting led to the following development concepts: 

  • Parallel runway system 
  • Centralized aircraft handling both for passengers and cargo 
  • Adherence to all relevant regulations of the ICAO 
  • The long term capacity of the runway system, always sufficient to guarantee long term growth opportunities for airlines 
  • Landside Development – centralized single terminal complex  with supporting facilities
  • Commercial Development – business parks, offices, hotels etc.
